Viking gives business customers a boost
Viking Self Storage Norwich has proven to a great place for small established and start-up businesses to operate from.
Increasingly small business customers are finding ways to operate from a storage unit – especially where a large part of their business is related to stock holding, receipt and despatch of goods.
The storage units can be configured to allow for efficient stock management and pick/pack bays. Viking’s mail handling, delivery receipt and despatch management service means that these small business people can pop in to their work space at a time to suit them and for as long as they need to be there, without having to wait around for courier drivers, or risk missing deliveries of collections.
Current customers operating in this way are selling such things as footwear, board games, cosmetics and clothing accessories.
These customers are more and more processing receipt of orders and booking courier deliveries within their units and have been getting online using 4G WiFi and mobile tethering.
Having spoken with customers, the team at Viking are now investing in the introduction of public WiFi in the storage areas where these customers are located. Over time the success will be assessed and the scheme may be rolled out to other areas if it proves to be popular.
